So not necessary. I can't blame people for loving the characters and wanting more. I get it. (In fact, I'll bet the Wilson prequel book is very well-written, since she's an excellent writer). I just feel so protective of the Montgomery characters! I want people to leave them be. Also, why on earth would they do a 4th (and a 2nd non canon) Anne film when they could just start fresh with a new EMILY of NEW MOON or Pat of Silverbush miniseries? I love both of those series, and I'm totally itching for worthy adaptations of them - no one has done them right just yet. There was an Emily tv show, but I've heard that its universally lame. (Granted there might be a few odd thrulines that need a delicate touch - especially everything involving Emily and her middle-aged stalker ... Dean Priest. LOL ... screenwriting challenge)! But I'd be more willing to watch a faithful, respectful, tasteful Emily film project than a 4th fluff Anne movie. Gah! Oh god, really?
