About the editor
This is the part where I talk convincingly about myself in the third person:
Sabrina Banes is a writer and former journalist in Brooklyn, NY. She has worked as a writer and editor at several publications in Westchester County, and also wrote the book review column Dustbin Diaries at Greenwich Time in Greenwich, Conn. Sabrina is now working on her own various works of YA, losing an endless battle against house mice, and maintaining this here blog.
As a journalist, Sabrina covered education, health, politics, and general news. In her spare time, she got to write entertainment features and reviews.
While Sabrina has won awards for her community journalism, she has always thought her best work has been with books, particularly with young adult fiction. This would be because she likes YA — and YA authors, and YA readers. She has written a whole manifesto about why YA is so awesome.
Her favorite author of all time is L.M. Montgomery, her favorite color is purple, and her favorite movie is When Harry Met Sally.
She also believes that talking about oneself in the third person is kind of freaky, so she’s going to stop now.
